As a young man, Kentucky music store owner Marvin Maxwell, fashioned a guitar from a toilet lid. Twenty-five years
later it suddenly occurred to him "to turn the idea around 180 degrees." He commissioned fellow drummer and business partner David Boone to build the prototype. As Boone told the Louisville Courier-Journal, "Marvin either put his brain in gear or took it out, we don't know which."
Now our patented, handcrafted guitar and keyboard toilet seats are setting a lively tone. Jammin's Johns come in six classic body styles with both round or oval seat designs. Almost everyone has a toilet seat. And everyone else has a guitar or a keyboard. But only Jammin' Johns combine the comfort of a finely crafted bathroom accoutrement with the legendary looks of your favorite guitars or piano.
Jammin' Johns boasts some very famous clients. A few of whom are:
- Roy Rogers
- Steven Spielberg
- The Bob & Tom Show
- Travis Meeks (Days of the New)
- Willie Nelson
